I’ve been feeling a strong urge for more minimal dressing, post the fashion month craze. Know don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been one for neutral colors, simple shapes, and a more Céline-esque look, but during the fashion weeks, you tend to play around with your look a bit more thus it can tend to feel a bit more complicated.

Maybe we should find more of a middle ground huh? The space in between complicated fashion and this modern minimalism.

For me right now, I would say this happy compromise is wearing Prints as a neutral, specifically animal prints as neutrals. If you break it down, animal prints are typically created in neutral colorways, and while adding texture and interest to a look they are still seen as a classic.

This look has been on repeat for me the past week. A good t-shirt, a great pair of jeans, and a cool shoe. Specifically here, my new Kenneth Cole Riley heel (of course in an animal print). I love how they add subtle interest to an otherwise all-black outfit. Plus the kitten heel is comfortable and a stunning feminine classic.
